a sustainable Karamoja.
Karamoja is the driest and poorest region of Uganda. It is affected by climate change and drought, which is leading to soil depletion, environmental degradation, and poor harvests.
The region with the total forest cover of 367, 450 hectares lost over half of the forests due to massive tree cutting, bush fires, settlements and grazing. It is estimated that by 2050, there will be a 0.3-2.8°C increase in temperature, resulting into increased incidences of extreme weather (drought and flooding)
