Story

Born From Action,Driven by Youth

Sparked by youth action in 2015 to combat severe environmental destruction, KAYESE 256 has grown from a volunteer initiative into a fully incorporated community organization (2022). We mobilize local communities, traditional leaders, and youth to stop deforestation, manage waste, and protect Karamoja’s natural heritage. Today, we lead community-backed climate solutions restoring our environment and building resilient futures across the region.

VISION

A Karamoja community living a dignified life and identity, with capabilities to sustain secure livelihoods, peace and enhanced environmental conservation

GOAL

To improve the socio-economic status and wellbeing of the most vulnerable and marginalized communities of Karamoja by building climate resilience, and promoting sustainable natural resources management

MISSION

To support Karamoja communities achieve climate resilience, sustainable livelihoods, environment and natural resource management by promoting inclusive participation and implementing integrated development actions.
